Do you pay your contractors on time?

 

Any business in the construction or construction-adjacent industry must pay contractors on time. This practice is the basics of owning a business. If your display suite partner is late paying sub-contractors, they do not have sufficient cash flow and are using their contractors to fund their business. Hard no.  

Timely payments to contractors help to foster long-standing relationships with them, leading to a culture of reliability and accountability. How do you manage risk?

Risk is unavoidable in any construction job, and our business is no different. However, how a design company manages that risk can make all the difference. We suggest asking this question to understand how well a design company is set up to deal with the unexpected. 

At Diva Works, we’ve implemented people, policies, and processes to mitigate risk. We employ Trina, a full-time work health and safety (WHS) specialist to safeguard our people and contractors also. She performs site audits and manages all risks associated with the fit-out, measuring our performance as we go. In the past if a contractor has gone into administration, we have always committed to deliver on our scope and quote.

How responsive are you to calls and emails?

Great communication is the key to any relationship – business or otherwise! So, of course, you want to know that your questions will be answered promptly. This is a great one to ask to set the expectations around response times.

The team at Diva Works always respond to emails within 24 hours. We may not always have the answer for you right away. But even if we don’t, we make sure to let you know and follow up as soon as we have it. We’re regularly complimented on our reachability by our clients, as we’re happy to hear and solve problems at all hours.

How can I be sure the design will match the finished product?

Knowing what to expect from a project is important. Knowing that the result will meet these expectations is even more important. Many design agencies will only go as far as showing you the plans as drawings, with minimal attention given to specific finishes and inclusions. 

Our approach to this is unique. When working with Diva Works, our clients can be certain of the finished product because we provide complete 3D renders of our projects. These renders go far deeper than most. Pay close attention to every customised detail of the finished project—even the specific furnishings and finishes.
